Description
An Anchorage law firm is in need of an experienced Business Paralegal.
As part of the legal team, the Paralegal will have a variety of duties that will require experience in
- Corporate Law: drafting, preparing and filing documentation for mergers and acquisitions, creating and maintaining organizational charts for corporate directors and officers, and qualifying corporations to conduct business in foreign jurisdictions.
- Real Estate Law: conforming commercial loan shell documents for closing, requesting and reviewing due diligence items, drafting documents such as deeds, certificates, notes, deeds of trust, and completing loan disclosure summaries.
- Immigration Law: prepare Visa application packages, research immigration procedures, etc.
- Environmental Law: monitoring Federal Register and EPA dockets, attend EPA and Congressional hearings, draft memoranda.
- Other areas may include FDA, FCC and Bankruptcy.
This position requires a sharp attention to detail; effective multi-tasking skills; and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential. Discretion and a high level of professionalism are crucial. Candidates are required to have a Bachelors Degree and three or more years of demonstrated litigation experience. A Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
This is a full time, permanent position that pays $45-65K per year DOE. Applicants must be available to work overtime and travel as needed. Full time benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, retirement and more!
