Designs and develops instructional materials for training courses that support company business strategy and initiatives. Demonstrates and utilizes effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills. Acts as a liaison between the business units and the training department in determining training needs and the appropriate method of delivery.

  • Perform lesson analysis, develop objectives, write storyboards and test banks, prepare narration scripts, and specify media. 
  • Design appropriate interactivity for lessons while demonstrating creativity, flexibility and innovation in course design. 
  • Conceptualization and design of training content. 
  • Analyze customer training needs. 
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure quality and accuracy of lessons. 
  • Coordinate project tasks with management and team members as needed. 
  • Address customer comments/questions on lessons. 
  • Review audio for accuracy and pronunciation and participate in the maintenance of curriculum library.
Requirements EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources or Education-related field preferred.

Experience: Experience with Macromedia Flash and Macromedia Dreamweaver a plus.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Technical writing skills 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and other complex documents
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task assignments
  • Ability to perform work quickly and thoroughly
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Power Point and Project
  • Ability to work independently

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the manual dexterity sufficient to operate phones, computers and other office equipment. This person must communicate clearly using the English language to accurately convey information and be able to hear at normal speaking levels both in person and over the telephone. Vision correctable to 20/40 is required to view written materials.

Good working conditions with little or no exposure to extremes in noises or temperature. Little or no safety or health hazards. Minimal lifting or climbing; work performed in an office setting.
