Vice President -Trauma Program

Description HCA Hospital Corporation of America Unique once in a lifetime opportunity for an experienced trauma professional.  HCA West Florida is seeking VP of Trauma to take an existing facility to Level II Trauma Status. 
 
Blake Medical Center is excited to begin the process of application for Level II Trauma Center status.   Blake is located in Trauma Service Areas with no current Trauma Centers.  We look forward to taking our services to the high level required for Trauma Center designation.  To drive the application process we are seeking a Vice President of Trauma.   We are extremely proud to be taking this major step in serving our communities.  
 
Responsibilities will include
1.    Building the Trauma Program from the ground up
2.    Driving the Florida state application process
3.    Establishing  policy and procedures
4.    Promoting the Trauma program to staff physicians and the community
5.    Overall responsibility for the Emergency Department  through the Department Director
6.    Operations of the Trauma  Center in conjunction with the Trauma Medical Director. 
 
 

Requirements Requirements
1.    Licensed RN
2.    TNCC or ATCN(must obtain within 6 months), BLS
3.    Bachelors degree (BSN or related healthcare);   MS preferred
4.    Minimum 2 years management experience in a trauma setting, Trauma Program Manager or Director
5.    Strong communication and project management skills
