PharMerica Pewaukee is now recruiting for a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Successful candidate will provide pharmaceutical services to long term care residents in a manner that maximizes quality and patient safety.
Essential Functions:
- Working under the supervision of the Supervisor enters resident specific orders into pharmacy computer system for filling by pharmacy techs, on occasion may fill prescriptions according to PharMerica´s standards of quality, customer service, productivity guidelines and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Maintains files of resident specific information by entering new information & updating & correcting information as required.
- Communicates with nursing personnel in facilities & maintains a phone log which includes date/time of call & name of facility nurse.
- Communicates with pharmacist as necessary.
- Maintains patient confidentiality & shreds documents per HIPPA regulations.
- Works with Supervisor, to enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and to obtain reimbursement/payment.
- Works with Supervisor in maintaining a clean/safe work environment.
- Performs mandatory overtime & covers weekend/evening/day shifts as designated by the Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED experience.
- WI State Pharmacy Technician Licensure/Certification required
- Previous Pharmacy Data Entry Technician experience required.
- Previous claims processing experience required.
- Experience in long-term care, retail or hospital pharmacy environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Brand/Generic drugs preferred
- IV experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare D a plus.
- Must be willing to work: 5am-12am M-F and 6am-8pm S/Su/Holidays
