Advanced Proficiency Level. Performs non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting complete projects of varied scope. Assists engineer in outlining objectives, requirements and design approaches. Proficient in CADD and may be knowledgeable in assist software such as GIS, 3D, Highway or Railroad design, Building design and Graphic Imaging. Responsible for gathering engineering data from a variety of sources. Primary responsibilities to include preparing drawings and assisting Engineering Tech I & II with training and mentoring responsibilities. Attends project and pre-construction meetings and provides input to ensure proper policies, procedures, and specifications are followed. Performs general administrative assistance by maintaining project plans. May develop documentation, budget figures, staffing needs and training plans, goals and accomplishments for project management reports; monitors accomplishments as related to targeted goals. Verifies accuracy of drawings Maintain project libraries Prepares detail and quantity calculations. Will be responsible for checking of detail and quantity calculations Assists engineer in outlining objectives, requirements and design approaches. Coordinate between disciplines on multi-discipline projects. Perform extensive engineering related computations.

Qualifications

One or 2 years technical school or Associate of Science plus 8 years experience, or BS in drafting technology or similar non-engineering degree plus 4 years experience.

Must have extensive experience in Micro-Station and AutoCAD
