Advanced Nurse Practitioner Looking for highly motivated ANP to become part of the Behavioral Team. Job description: Fairbanks Native Behavioral Health Services is looking for an ANP to be an integral part of the Residential Detoxification Team. * Knowledgeable in substance abuse, addiction and psychiatric nursing is desirable for this position. * Performs physical exams, monitoring overall healthcare of individuals, medication prescription and monitoring, care coordination, initiating involuntary commitments for alcohol or other drugs. * Works with the Detox Team to facilitate positive behavioral change. The team includes RNs, LPNs, CNAs, case managers and other members of the behavioral health team. * Works as a liaison with other agencies, treatment programs, care givers and families. * Provides education to clients, staff and community. Initiative is a must! The Position will work out of the new facility: The Gateway to Recovery - Fairbanks Community Enhanced Detox Center Our motto: Off the Street and into Treatment. Qualifications: *State of Alaska licensure as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. (Psychiatric specialty preferred) * Qualifies for DEA license (as allowed by law) *Above average communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively administer written and verbal instructions.
