Nuclear Plant Piping Designer

Summary:
Develop PDS piping model for nuclear plant BOP.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the design of balance of plant piping systems for new domestic nuclear power plants. Prepare piping arrangements accounting for pipe stress and support configuration; optimize piping with equipment and other discipline services; account for operability and maintenance considerations. Prepare and check drawings; perform 3D model review; input and extract information from 3D model; input to design database, datasheets, bulk material requisitions and technical bid evaluations; prepare and revise P&ID, piping iso's, etc. Work under the direction of Lead piping engineer. Prepare P&IDs.

Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:
15+ years experience in piping design for nuclear power plant or other nuclear facility type. Must be experienced with CAD design programs such as PDS2D/3D, Microstation and AutoCAD; 2D and 3D intelligent drawings; able to extract and develop isometric drawings and detail drawings. Able to work with skill and proficiency with minimal guidance; work safely and adhere to safety policies. Able to work both independently and as part of a project team. Resolve RDB conflict report issues and interference clashes. Experienced in running clash reports and resolving clashes.
