Video Teleconferencing Scheduler/Communications Technician

Description Most possess an active TS/SCI level clearance.

Monitor, evaluate, document, test, schedule and perform problem isolation/resolution and network management on all VTC related issues, planning and coordination with DVSG and JWICS system. Provide scheduling/ bridging information and support to local and remote endpoint users. Facilitate daily VTC�s as required. Troubleshoot all VTC scheduling issue to include various Polycom, Tandberg, and video teleconferencing equipment. Respond to Service tickets for assistance, training or troubleshooting on VTC equipment. Provide monthly tracking and reporting on all VTC activity.

Specific Responsibilities: Respond to customer request for VTCs, gather appropriate information, document in automated scheduling application, de-conflict VTCs when required, and coordinate VTCs with outside agencies. When required assistance with VTC facilitation and troubleshooting. Maintain and provide a monthly report on VTCs scheduled, VTCs canceled and degraded VTCs. Maintain professional conduct at all times. Strong communications skills.
a. Experience with Tandberg Management System software.
b. Familiar with programming CRESTON equipment.
c. Experience with Polycom and Tandberg Gatekeepers and Gateways.
d. Experience with Tandberg Codecs.
e. Knowledgeable with H.323 (IP) video standards (Tandberg and Polycom).
f. DVS-G and JWICS scheduling knowledge.
g. Experience with MGC Manager 7.0 bridge operation software.
h. Knowledge of Windows XP.

Requirements Candidate must have excellent interpersonal customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate both orally and written.

Four years experience in engineering, installing, scheduling and facilitating video teleconferences At least two years experience performing VTC scheduling for DVS-G and JWICS VTCs.
