Description The Government Sector Actuarial Consultant provides consulting assistance on rate setting and risk management for government-sponsored programs, including programs for the Medicaid, medically indigent and uninsured populations. To fulfill this role in our Minneapolis office, the Actuary will:

Calculate actuarially sound upper payment limits
Develop creative rate setting methodologies
Calculate managed care capitation rates and rate changes
Collect, analyze and interpret health care data
Provide specialized consulting and project management support for client projects.

Requirements

BA/BS degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics, finance or business
ASA designation required, FSA designation preferred
5+ years of actuarial health care experience, preferably in a consulting environment
Excellent analytical, strategic planning and communication skills.
