Description SUMMARY OVERVIEW

SUMMARY
This position will work as part of the SC Network Optimization Team in preparing lowest landed cost analyses in supply chain network improvement initiatives, supply chain network studies and support of customer RFQ’s. The position is responsible for collecting and processing data, building models and producing optimized total landed cost network analyses of SC scenarios in response to business unit and customer demand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Skills:
  • Support SC Network tool and model development
  • Develop and maintain databases for team to utilize in their work
  • Work with cross functional experts within Jabil (trade compliance, tax, transportation, hubbing, manufacturing and services) to collect data
  • Upload data into databases and models
  • Produce innovative and accurate lowest landed cost analyses
  • Ensure analysis accuracy
  • Drive team productivity
  • Manage to and ensure deadlines are met

    Customer Service Skills
  • Capability to think independently and work without a lot of supervision.
  • Serve as escalation point for troubleshooting issues.
  • Organize verbal and written ideas clearly, use appropriate business style.
  • Participate in the exchange of ideas and information within the department.
  • Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting and metrics management.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to Jabil or customer specific.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor’s degree required; Three years + of significant data processing, data analysis and tool development experience in international logistics and supply chain design. Knowledge of global transportation (air, integrator, road and ocean modes); International Tax & VAT/GST; Trade Compliance: Customs and Export; Duties, Reverse logistics, Inventory costing, Warehouse costing, and Distribution will be a plus

    MODELING SKILLS
    Expert level user of Excel and Access. Strong Visual Basic programming skills and experience. Programming experience will be a significant advantage

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference and algebra. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    REASONING ABILITY
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited data exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS
    Fluency in English (speaking, written and reading). Ability to prepare SC Network Solution presentations. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer RFQ’s. Ability to effectively respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Strong communication skills and ability to work as a member of cross functional teams. Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects, meet deadlines, prioritize and re-prioritize workload. Global experience and global outlook

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Individual may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Employee will be required to use computer keyboard or other equipment for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision for reading and studying spreadsheets, documents and using a computer monitor.
