TECHNICAL CONSULTANT � NETWORK SOLUTIONS

SUMMARY:  Responsible for strategic design, continued engineering, configuration, installation and administration of the LAN/WAN environment, including all network hardware and software.  Will provide support, troubleshooting and performance monitoring of APAC and client networks as well as work with third-party vendors to provide assistance in the selection and evaluation of all products/services. 
 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 
Work closely with internal staff, clients, vendors and users to ensure the stability and availability of the network infrastructure.  Take ownership of network infrastructure to provide detailed network designs, implementation plans and migration/rollback strategies.  Develop ongoing maintenance strategies and documentation, and create test networks as necessary.  Ensure that the Company is current with evaluation of existing networks, new technologies, network modeling and analysis tools.  Maintain security measures to safeguard all networked systems in LAN/WAN environment.  Participate in various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade infrastructure.  Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Education:  Bachelor�s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.  CCNP or CCIE certification/level experience preferred.
 
Experience:  5 or more years� experience designing, implementing and supporting complex, highly-available redundant networks with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VPN concentrators and load balancers.  Four years experience working with wide- and local-area network architecture.  Four years experience with Cisco related networking hardware and software.  Two or more years systems administration experience at junior administrator level preferred.
 
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:  Strong written and verbal communication skills required.  Experience in the following technologies required:  TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, TACACS/RADIUS, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP.  Strong BGP experience required. Business- and consumer-class WAN transports (T1).  DS3 and 802.11 preferred.  Internetworking:  SNMP, PPP, HSRP, NAT, IPSec, CEF, EtherChannel, bonding, load balancing and ATM.  Past experience with CiscoWorks, MRTG, Sniffer and Nagios preferred.
 
Preferred technologies, skills and experiences include:
 
Network security:  Auditing, policy and security devices (VPN concentrators, firewall, access policies), network security design; intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and port-level authentication.
 
Large multicasting, QoS, MPLS and VPN environments.
 
Load balancing technologies such as CSS.
 
Experience implementing/supporting VOIP phone switches a plus (Call Manager, Unified Messaging, Cisco IPCC and Call Center Systems).
 
Knowledge of Windows 2000/2003/XP, Active Directory, IIS, Linux, DNS, FTP and SMTP, MS Office and H.323 video conferencing.
