High School, Bachelor's degree preferred
1 to 2 years related experience
Under the Agency's policies and professional requirements: Provides direct support and care (personal assistance, transportation, and ILS skills training); Coordinates client referrals, tasks involved in serving the consumers; Works with RBHA Clinical Teams, Administrative staff, Treatment Program Manager, and Director; Co-leads recovery-wellness groups; Participates in program evaluation procedures and professional record keeping; Works under the direct supervision of the Recovery Coach Supervisor. The Recovery Coach draws upon personal experiences as a Mental Health Consumer/Family member to perform the work with consumers who are currently in treatment.
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Bilingual preferred (testing may be required)
Fingerprint clearance must be maintained.
Trained as Peer Support Worker (certificate required)
Must be a consumer or family member of a consumer who has or is receiving services from the public behavioral health system.
Qualifying driving record. Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
Customer service skills, especially good communication skills are needed.
Ability to work independently, with flexibility, and within prescribed deadlines.
Basic computer skills.
