Member of Technical Staff Systems Engineer for Battle Command Ap

Description Responsible for providing technical leadership and direction across the business unit contracts and business opportunities. Responsible for defining technical strategies associated with business growth and with providing technical expertise to enable profitable program execution. Responsible for technical coordination of engineering resources on proposal and project teams. Expected to communicate extensively with external customers and partners and internally within and across the division. Support the pursuit of new business through development of technical briefings, system design concepts, business plans and proposals. Participate in all phases of system development. This includes developing Operational Concept Models, high-level system architecture developments, providing system requirements definition, analytical system modeling, and complex system integration planning and execution to support Battle Management systems. Provide support to US Military C4ISR and Battle Command business pursuits. Apply knowledge from a broad range of engineering disciplines to develop system solutions. Work with customers, users, and project teams to define, analyze and meet customer needs. Provide leadership and expertise in applying systematic processes to Concept of Operation, trade study, analysis, design, implementation, integration and test activities. This position involves mature business development, project management and systems engineering skills.
BS degree in a technical field + 12 years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree desired. At least 5 years of technical domain expertise is required in Battle Command, C2 and C4 systems, including system architecting and the full life cycle of system engineering. Previous technical leadership success on large system-of-system programs is desired. Has demonstrated strengths and experience in the following areas:

Systems engineering artifact generation (e.g., system requirements, systems design) and tools.

Understanding of the entire life cycle of a system development program

Understanding of service oriented/based architectures

Owns and solves customer/political problems and technical problems beyond domain of expertise.

Knowledge and exposure to currently deployed or future DOD systems is desired; such as: FCS, CAC2S, M2C2, NECC, C2PC, FBCB2, TOC, AFATDS, ASAS, JSTARS CGS, DCGS.

Knowledge of C4ISR systems in general is required.

Former Army or Military experience highly desirable
Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
