DEAN OF STUDENTS
This is a 12 month administrative faculty appointment. The Dean of Students, as chief student services officer of the campus, leads and manages a comprehensive program of services that promote engagement and facilitate student success for a diverse student population. These services include: counseling, admission and records, financial aid, veteran's affairs, student activities, high school outreach, disabilities services and international admissions. The Dean is responsible for administering the student code of conduct and providing leadership and coordination for selected college-wide student services and collaborating with other administrators to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures across the College. The Dean of Students reports directly to the campus Provost, is an active member of the campus Provost Staff, and the college Dean's Working Group.
Requirements
Required: Master's degree in a related field with considerable work experience in higher education and student services; excellent oral and written communication skills. Previous supervisory experience.
Desired: Doctoral degree, considerable administrative experience at a level comparable to a college dean. Community college experience. Signiificant experience in student services.
