Description Our client, located in Fort Lauderdale is looking for experienced CNC Machinists who will set up and operates conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
2. Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
3. Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills and lathes.
4. Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
5. Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
6. Observes numerical displays on control panel and compares with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates and speeds of machining cuts.
7. Manipulates dials, switches and other controls to override program and correct machine performance.
8. Inspects first run piece and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.
9. Studies job packet and organizes materials for next run during automatic program controlled cycles to shorten changeover time.
10. Gets tool(s) for next job before finishing present job.
11. Sets up and operate additional machine(s) during run cycle of first machine.
12. May machine metallic and non-metallic materials.
13. Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
14. Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
Requirements Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
one to three years related CNC experience and/or training
US Citizen or Green Card holder
Must have reliable transportation
Must pass drug test and background check
