As part of the aap3 team providing services to cisco’s  IT Creative Solutions, the candidate will be immersed in all IT Collaboration technologies and services within Cisco.To Work alongside the Global Web Marketing & Strategy team supporting global web activities in cisco.com's 85 country sites, in multiple languages,

 

The candidate will be overseeing development and enforcing workflows and documentation around corporate design, creation, publishing and maintenance, along with internationalization, localization and overall functionality of these web sites.

 

They will also help with training and coordinating corporate, theater and in-country resources, as directed by the Global Web Marketing & Strategy Team Management and will  be required to produce all documentation related to the projects.

 

They will need to demonstrate strong leadership, project management and be inivotive in their approach managing and meeting the client expectations.

 

Profile (Roles & Responsibilities):

 

Overview

  • Project Manages global content rollouts, including scope, global/local requirements, timelines for translation, implementation, documentation and localization needs
  • Manages development work performed by offshore resources
  • Supports Cisco.com global web sites from a process, publishing, guidelines and documentation standpoint
  • Creates global templates after globalization review
  • Manages and escalates critical support cases
  • Expert (or propensity to quickly become an expert) in DCTM Documentum WP, IBM WebSphere

 

Responsibilities

  • Support globalization of major targeted web-based projects from a technical standpoint;
  • Document projects, scope, progress and completion
  • Drive creation of web templates
  • Gather and centralize technical documentation and guidelines
  • Develop internal tools to make documentation available to the global community (wiki, internal site, etc)
  • Track and monitor country adoption of site assets
  • Provide global technical support and act as the escalation point for critical technical support cases affecting customer-facing sites and internal productivity.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the project development cycle and the critical/key impact points related to any Project.
  • Technical understanding in web development to include analysis of websites in conjunction with Cisco’s standard guidelines
  • Best Practice advice and communications with countries 
  • Support global launches (“OneVoiceWeb") and quarterly refreshes, product and brand campaigns, home page redesigns, migrations, etc
  • Educates and trains internal team and company resources on the use and benefits of central tools and processes
  • Contributes to streamlining publishing processes by using overall knowledge of internal site and appropriate tools
  • Oversees Quality Assurance; documentation and guidelines; collaboration tools and platform (wiki, internal site, etc)
  • Acts as single point of contact with IT support teams to drive resolution of business-impacting support issues

Requirements

Skills

  • At least 5+ years of experience of working in a similar web environment.
  • Must have 1+ year of internationalization, globalization, localization and translation project management experience with a primary focus on web.
  • Strong project management component.
  • Keen understanding of the project development cycle, the critical factors for success and demonstrable experience of leading client initiatives and providing quick solutions.
  • Language - Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Customer focused  with first class interpersonal, presentation, personal organizational and communications skills capable of explaining technical issues to non-technical audiences
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic, challenging and very fast moving corporate environment, and is able to work under pressure
  • Technically sound, with knowledge and experienced in IT Collaboration technologies and languages such as HTML, XML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, (CGI not essential) , RSS, Wiki’s Forums, Video collaboration, Podcasts, WebEx, CMS, Document repository systems.
  • Ability to grasp and utilise specific tools relevant to delivering the services
  • Keen understanding of WEB 2.0 technologies
