PowerBuilder Developer needed for Orlando, FL!
Provide support for a PowerBuilder Application focusing on developing new requirements, fixing production issues and potentially provide reengineering for applications in a Web environment. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Performs application development tasks using good development practices. Follow company coding standards and clearly comments source code to facilitate future maintenance of applications.
Determines database changes required for application changes. Documents database changes and coordinates with the database administration team to apply the changes to the various systems at the appropriate time.
Interacts with Business Units during the development phase to confirm that functionality meets initial requirements. Plans and prepares technical documents, training materials, or the like as appropriate for application development.
Performs appropriate unit testing of application changes during the development phase. Works with Business Units to ensure suitable test plans are generated for the application or enhancements. May perform some of the final testing prior to deployment.
Creates production version of applications and prepares them for deployment. Performs associated setup required for the application or enhancements.
Participates in coordination with other groups, such as Business Units, database administration team, etc. to ensure that all dependencies, training, or other preparations are completed prior to deployment.
Monitors system as appropriate after deployment to verify that the changes are performing properly, or to correct any problems identified at this time. Able to determine the source of problems and provide an effective means of correcting them.
Assists in preparing time, resource, and cost estimates for completing
projects.
Performs system troubleshooting and problem resolution for production applications
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with software development and implementation - Extensive experience with PowerBuilder 11 REQUIRED
Strong knowledge of SQL Server database, stored procedures, performance tuning, etc.
Strong knowledge of Oracle infrastructure
Knowledge of RFC and BAPI interfaces to SAP
Additional Qualifications:
Experience developing web applications and deploying PowerBuilder applications on the web.
Experience with Java and/or HTML
Possession of excellent time-management and organizational skills

Salary - To $50.00/hr BASED ON EXPERIENCE
