Designer 3 - Nuclear, Wiring

Description The Shaw Group provides premier engineering, design, construction, and maintenance services to government and private-sector clients in a wide array of industries, including the energy, environmental, infrastructure, and emergency response markets.

Summary:
Applicant must be familiar with NEC and IEEE standards. Has experience in power plant design. Nuclear experience is preferred. Applicant must be capable of locating equipment in 3D environment as well as design of raceways. The applicant should have familiarity with layout of electrical equipment and raceways. Must understand inter-discipline interfaces. Must be capable of directing activities of other designers. Experience required 4-10 years.

Responsibilities:
Supervises and coaches designers preparing systems sketches and drawings. Work conforms to applicable codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.

Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:
Applicant must have experience in CAD application. Integraph PDS 3D experience is preferred. Associate Degree or equivalent experience. Familiar with IEC standards a plus.
