Provide recommendations to senior management regarding type and number of resources human, financial, tools, etc. required to complete assigned projects. Solicit and obtain management authorization for development, documentation and implementation of new features and information processing systems as well as maintenance and support of existing application systems. Projects are cross functional, requiring a broad knowledge of the Company, key functions, and products. Participate in the full systems development life cycle of assigned technical projects to ensure comprehensive, timely and high quality outcome of assigned projects. Assist in developing project plans using tools that facilitate task listing, assignments, tracking and modification to ensure business requirements are completely satisfied, on time and within budget. Ensure all work performed is within existing policies, procedures and organizational objectives and meets high quality and customer service standards. Produces executive reports on assigned projects to keep management apprised of project status, major issues, scope changes, resource changes and milestone achievement or misses. Focus on the management of technical projects within one or multiple areas or products. Assist in identifying and engaging all key stakeholders, contributors and business and technical resources that must participate in projects to ensure that contributors are motivated to complete assigned tasks within the parameters of the project plan. Facilitates regular project meetings and follows up with team members as required to focus on business and operational issues or technical issues. Documents, assigns and monitors all projects issues to ensure clearance with minimal impact to project progress. Provide regular feedback to management of project team performance. Able to work effectively as part of a team to drive technical projects and deliverables. This position leads medium size projects and provides support to team on larger technical projects. Complete other responsibilities, as assigned. Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. This position manages technical projects.
