Kelly Engineering Resources is looking to fill a Temporary to Hire opportunity for our customer located in the Western Suburbs. Our customer is a precision technology leader, creating innovative opto-digital solutions in health care and life science products throughout North America.
Salary upon hire is $28,000-$34,000 per year, with a full benefits package.
The Associate Service Technician will receive, estimate, repair, and potentially perform final inspection and ship endoscopes
Responsibilities: * Document estimation and repair findings accurately and thoroughly, so that a clear history of the instrument is evident and available. Perform data entry. * Perform repairs, including minor electronics repairs, according to established quality criteria and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and other approved reference material used for each estimate or repair. * Understand and work within the system of parts acquisition and inventory control, including requesting parts and supplies, to ensure availability of parts and supplies. * Troubleshoot equipment telephonically to assist customers with basic electronic repairs. * Access and update repair data files, entering information from estimate forms to ensure accuracy of data. * Acquire and read technical bulletins applicable to repair and service and integrate information into repair activities. * Coordinate the entire material flow, from estimation to shipment to ensure equipment is returned in timely fashion. * Perform field service customer visits, either alone or accompanied by a more experienced Technician, to repair and/or service equipment, or become familiar with different types of equipment. * Understand and participate in telephone support and troubleshoot technical questions for customers by communicating with customers relative to the repair of their Olympus instruments. * Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: (ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED) * A High school education/GED, along with 1 year of electro-mechanical repair experience, or a High school education/GED and a Trade School Certificate in electro-mechanical repair is required. * Must have great customer services skills. * Manual dexterity is essential. * Strong analytical skills are necessary. * Must have good verbal communication skills. * Must be computer literate.
