Description Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the position is to serve as an accounting business partner to the Marketing Department and to the Sales & Delivery function. To analyze, reconcile and monitor the financial transactions related to certain aspects of the marketing and sales functions. This includes profitability analysis and capital consumption for customer-specific cooperative marketing programs, assistance with drafting program agreements (CMAs) and approving, tracking and monitoring expenses and related reimbursements for those programs.

Objectives include assessing proper accounting treatment, providing information for and participating in decision-making, recognizing situations that require follow-up or further action and proposing appropriate steps to minimize any negative impact on the company�s cash flow or financial results.

Responsibilities:

Partner with each Trade Development account director with system call-point customer responsibility to understand elements of proposed CMA to facilitate preparation of economic analysis including revenue (volume and net price) and CMA cost (contractual and non-contractual commitments. Assist with drafting of CMA document for these customers.

Assist Trade Development account director with development of annual system-wide budget by element by bottler for these customers. Update budget during the year for changes to projected spending. Coordinate with CCNA for budget loading and updating into system once programs are approved and final.

Populate CPACT database with all elements of these CMAs, including ad, display, space, promotion and other requirements of the customer, as well as funding commitments to the customer. Monitor program progress through the various levels of approval within the CPACT system.

Validate payment requests to and on behalf of these customers received from Trade Development account directors, using sales reports and other input information from various sources, following budget guidelines. Route validated payment requests for approval, forward to Accounts Payable and distribute checks.

Reconcile GL account used for all payments to assign all expenses to the appropriate customer. Maintain database of expenses for each customer by element. Periodically request reimbursement from CCNA for accumulated expenses and monitor collection of reimbursements.

Participate in various SOX compliance documentation routines and other support projects as needed

Requirements Qualifications:

4 - 6 years experience in Accounting (some combination of Public accounting, consumer products or retail experience preferred)

Proficiency with MS software (Excel, etc.)

Strong computer application aptitude to learn in house mainframe sales finance system and other in house sales systems

Ability to participate in a cross-functional environment inside and outside of CCBCC

High attention to detail

Independent thinking skills

SAP experience in financial applications preferred

Understanding of CMAs or contracts preferred
