POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for driving the commercial insurance business development strategy and sales results in tandem with our HSBC Commercial Bank partners serving Middle Market and Business Banking clients. Commercial insurance is a key component of the Global HSBC Insurance strategy and as such this role will have significant local and global senior management visibility.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The core responsibility of this position will be to develop and launch insurance products/propositions in North America (US & Canada) that are strategically linked to our Commercial Banking strategy (Leading International Business), as well as formulating distribution strategy and driving sales results. The role works across multiple channels, interfacing directly with senior stakeholders and their respective teams.

 

The position will be permanently located in Jersey City, NJ, although this position will spend approximately 50% of the time in the Bank located at 452 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY.

 

 

Requirements

  •    Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or other related field or equivalent direct experience; Masters/Advanced degree strongly preferred

  •    Minimum eight years of proven and progressive experience in marketing, including four years of managerial experience

  •    Proven organizational, managerial, negotiation, communication and business analysis skills required

  •    Experience with Property and Casualty insurance (as well as associated licenses) and Commercial Banking products required

  •    Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe software packages
