Desktop Engineer

We are currently seeking a full time Desktop Engineer for the Department of Information Systems (IS).

In this critical role, the Desktop Engineer is part of a team that is in charge of the desktop infrastructure at Baptist Health; including analyzing all new technology involving desktops, desktop image management, and providing third tier support on an as needed basis; analyzes software purchased by Baptist Health and creates software packages via InstallShield and MSI's to be delivered by a Novell Zenworks system; recommends changes to the desktop environment by keeping track of industry best practices, and coming up with testing and plans for possible implementation; interacts with high level engineers from other departments in enterprise projects.

Requirements Qualified candidates must have knowledge of Novell Zenworks, Zen Asset Manager, Netware Networks, eDirectory, Microsoft Active Directory, Installshield packager, Microsoft MSI technology, Windows XP, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Citrix connectivity, Microsoft WSUS for patching and VBScripting.

Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred; MCSA and / or CNA required.
