Brief Position Summary
The Digital Project Manager is responsible for managing the execution of simple and complex digital, interactive and mobile (phone apps, SMS campaigns, etc.) development programs from conceptualization through launch including ongoing maintenance and reporting. This includes ideation, planning, project scheduling and resource management, budget development and tracking, status reporting, client management (working with the dedicated account teams) and assuming responsibility for the organization and day-to-day management of the work. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of each project including accurate planning, scoping, budget development and management, on time delivery and ensuring a quality end product. The ideal candidate will be thorough and detailed with documentation and communication, and efficient enough to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects at the same time. The candidate should feel comfortable managing priorities and working with minimal assistance and supervision to complete assigned tasks on time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage, direct and plan complex projects as a part of larger enterprise programs.
Act as liaison with account teams, third party vendors and implementation partners.
Coordinate, schedule and assign project tasks.
Build and maintain working relationships with all team members, stakeholders and partners.
Create, review and evaluate project plans, resource plans, schedules and budgets.
Identify and negotiate schedules, milestones and resources required to meet project objectives.
Evaluate and report progress in terms of quality and performance metrics.
Function independently with general supervision.
Coordinate design, development and testing activities.
Engage appropriate business and technical resources to the project when needed.
Actively manage, track and communicate project issues and risks, escalating when necessary.
Familiarity with best practices for requirements gathering, design specifications and testing
Comfortable with technical terminology and concepts.
Advanced analytic, problem-solving and organizational skills
Maintain knowledge of Digital and Mobile marketing technologies and practices to ensure successful delivery of
programs.
Become the Subject Matter Expert in regards to Mobile Marketing programs and help train and disseminate knowledge
among the Digital and Mobile teams
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum 3 years of project management experience, with at least 2 years of recent experience managing
Web/Technology/Mobile projects
Experience in all managing interactive, digital and mobile programs of varying complexity.
A sound knowledge of Web, Mobile and related technologies
Expert in the development process/execution of Websites, Mobile programs and technology systems
Able to communicate technical solutions to non-technical clients and advise on the best approach
Develop timelines and plans to ensure the completion of projects
Must be a self-motivated, proactive, flexible, adaptable, resourceful and accountable personality
Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient with an ability to simplify the complex into clear plans
Enthusiastic, able to lead, motivate and drive others
Able to balance multiple priorities and adapt to the demands of competing program needs
Educational and Experience Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Systems or equivalent experience
3 - 5 years experience in managing interactive or mobile projects
Proven track record of successful process management and improvement
