Description Generate high value portfolio analysis, including but not limited to segmentation and concentration analysis. Provide deep segmentation analysis of customer segments, including but not limited to SIC / industry, size, tenure, region, sales channel, and other demographic variables. Insure appropriate credit risk variables (sales volume, fee generation, delinquency and funding costs, credit loss rates) are appropriately included in company efforts to build out more exacting and predictive profitability models. Assist management in interpretation of analysis, and formulation and presentation of recommended policy actions to senior most management, Portfolio Policy Committee, and Board of Directors. Identify and prioritize opportunity and risk areas for deep statistical examination which will guide policy development and refinement.

  • Financial and Customer Modeling and Forecasting:

    Assist management in maintaining effective loan loss reserve models and methodologies. Will also develop models to forecast finance fees and customer attrition patterns related to credit risk management policies and actions. Will develop internal and external macro correlation models and �stress-testing� approaches to improve understanding of internal and external variables and influences effecting portfolio performance and profitability. Model and predict customer behavior impacts and portfolio performance relative to PPG.
  • New Business Acquisition / Risk Based Marketing:

    Provide analysis to maximize new credit application approval rates, while maintaining or increasing asset quality and profitability. Collaborate with peers in direct marketing activities to insure maximum yields and ROI on marketing and solicitation efforts across multiple channels. Model and profile desirable targets and prospects across multiple channels and card product offerings. Drive better targeting and selection strategies relative to credit risk attributes in order to lower acquisition costs. Provide data and analysis to accelerate the company�s ability to maximize new customer acquisition in a predictable and profitable manner. Assist management in generating strategic solutions and approaches to provide market, product, and customer segment specific risk and profitability models to maximize new customer acquisition and return on investment.
  • Scheduled and Ad-hoc Data Analysis and Reporting:

    Directs data mining and analytical needs of a broad constituency of business partners, including but not limited to Portfolio Mgt, Sales, Marketing, and Client Mgt. Fulfills a pre-determined monthly series of reporting provided to management internally and or to partners. Also supports ad-hoc portfolio reporting and analysis as requested by the business. May also assist in analytics required for portfolio valuations, due diligence, portfolio purchases, or conversions.


    Requirements:
  • Requires Masters Degree in statistics, mathematics, or econometrics
  • Minimum of 7 years previous experience in a credit card or other similar lending or financial services environment
  • Must have advanced capabilities in SAS, as well as proficiency with Access, SPSS, SQL, Oracle database, MS Office suite
  • Must demonstrate advanced proficiency and understanding of statistical and quantitative tools, approaches and terminology.
  • Significant experience with development and management of statistical credit and behavior scoring models
  • Experience with Adaptive Control Systems such as �Triad� by FairIsaac is highly desired.
  • Effective communication skills across broad constituencies; proven ability to influence and drive results
  • Demonstrated track record of excellence, desire for fast-paced and experiential learning in a dynamic environment
  • Must have experience with Revolving credit lines.
  • Must pass a successful background investigation.
