Job Overview

VP, Regional Materials has primary responsibility for defining and executing supply chain strategies, capabilities, and solutions in the region of leadership. Establishes and manages cross-functional supply chain teams to design and implement end-to-end supply chain capabilities and strategies based on business plans and customer requirements. Coordinates supply, manufacturing and delivery systems to ensure the optimization of invested capital, lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) and maximum shareholder value for the region.



VP, Regional Materials have direct regional reports including Director of Sourcing, Director of Supply Chain Management and Director of Tactical Materials.


Responsibilities

Sourcing



� Provide leadership to the regional sourcing organization as it relates to proper staffing levels and tools.

� Actively participate in the global commodity council to ensure that we have capable suppliers in the region to meet the requirements of the business and our customers.

� Manage key performance metrics to maximize supply quality and availability.

� Develop a culture of accountability through internal objective setting and external business reviews with our key suppliers.



Supply Chain Management



� Responsible for providing the tools and solutions to the region that optimizes invested capital, reduces total cost of ownership and maximizes shareholder value.

� Works with potential and existing customers to compare their business needs to our solutions in order to architect an effective and efficient supply chain.

� Lead the regional Logistics and MRO groups in order to ensure that we have the proper partners and suppliers to meet the needs and requirements of Plexus and its customers�.



Tactical Materials



� Evaluates site and regional performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across the supply chain organization.

� Develop, implement and manage policies and procedures necessary to ensure adequate controls are in place for the effective execution of purchasing, scheduling and material movement.

� Lead inventory planning and reporting for the region and assist the sites in closing any obsolete or excess material issue.



Will be required to periodically travel to all manufacturing sites in order to participate in the material site assessments and quarterly business reviews.

Requirements All candidates must have legal authorization to permanently live

and work in the United States without visa or employer sponsorship.



Education/Experience:



� A minimum of 15+ years of similar or related experience is desired. Individual must have 10+ years management experience, preferably in an electronics environment.

� A minimum of a Bachelor�s degree in Business or a related discipline is required.

� APICS Certification in production inventory control management (CPIM) or ISM Certification in procurement management (CPM) is beneficial.

� Global experience in United States, Mexico, Central/Eastern Europe, APAC (Asia-Pacific) is preferred.



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:



� Employee must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

� Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.

� Excellent leadership skills are necessary.

� Management/Supervisory skills

� Problem solving skills

� Assertiveness, prioritizing activities, multi-tasking capabilities

� Computer literacy in MRP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and are essential.

� Employee must work safely at all times and maintain confidentiality of all company and customer information.
