Research Manager

Description The Research Manager will build USA TODAY’s position in the Travel space by executing quantitative and qualitative primary research among consumers and businesses, fueling strategic, fact-based recommendations to senior management. Will also support the Director of Research in execution of other primary research projects as necessary. Responsibilities: *Manage primary research projects, especially regarding USA TODAY’s development of products and services to meet the needs of both businesses and consumers in the Travel space* Provide insight into USA TODAY's marketing strategies and selling advantages based on audience, circulation and brand strengths, using additional resources as available.Requirements:* Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in social sciences, marketing, business administration, journalism, and/or statistics; graduate degree strongly preferred* Formal academic training in research and analytic methods as evidenced by college transcripts *Minimum of 10 years project management experience, working in a research environment with a diverse group of analysts*5-10 years experience in Travel marketing or research*5-10 years experience with media research is highly desirable*5-10 years experience in handling contract services and managing large expense budgets*5+ years experience managing staff at the analyst levelWe recognize and appreciate the benefits of diversity in the workplace.
