  • Requirements Minimum 3 years experience on a first-line support desk assuming responsibility for front office production applications preferably in a commodity trading or investment banking environment.
    Strong Oracle skills (PL/SQL, debugging and performance tuning)
    PowerBuilder and/or .NET (C# or VB) development experience
    Advanced Excel (incl. VBA)
    Ability to work with demanding users in a fast paced trading environment.
    Strong understanding of change control processes, time management and attention to detail.
    Ability to complete work within assigned deadlines
    Ability to provide reliable and informative project status to supervisors and clients
    Experience in supporting a 7 x 24 hour environment
    Ability to manage time and work well under pressure
    A creative, innovative approach to problem solving
    Proven ability to understand a customer's business environment and processes
    Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
    Strong critical thinking and analysis, meeting facilitation, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions skills
    Have analytical problem solving skills
