South Nassau FlexChoiceRN enables an RN with 2 years recent experience in the Acute Care Hospital setting to work a flexible per diem schedule. South Nassau FlexChoiceRNs are assigned a rate of pay depending on their selected choice of flexibility and availability. They are either unit specific or float in clustered areas based on their skills and expertise. CALL 1-877-611-FLEX (3539) for more information.
Position Requirements: South Nassau FlexChoiceRN must be a graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse diploma or college program, must possess a minimum of two years of recent (within the last 12 months) hospital experience as an RN, and must complete an in-house orientation program. Clinical experience and/or skills as relevant to area of practice. Licensed and currently registered or otherwise duly authorized to practice as a professional nurse in New York State. ACLS & PALS is required in selected departments. AHA BLS/AED required.
Position Responsibilities: South Nassau FlexChoiceRNs assume responsibility for the nursing care provided to a selected number of patients. The scope of practice includes diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case-finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being
