Description of the Sr. ETL/Java Web Applications Developer role:

Our client is looking for the kind of Sr. ETL/Java Web Applications Developer that can work independently, be given a basic direction and a problem, and can recommend and run with a solution. You're the kind of person that is used to working with multi-disciplinary teams, managers up to the CIO level, and interface with your users to create a technical solution. You are flexible with technology platforms from SQL to Postgres, Java to legacy ColdFusion code, and can jump in regardless and meet a deadline. It's a highly collaborative environment where a positive attitude and strong work ethic are the norm. It's split between web and database development with light front end work.

Requirements

• 7+ years of web and database application development experience with Java
  
• 5+ years of database development experience with T-SQL, specifically, most recently on SQL 2005
  
• 5+ years of ETL development expertise
  
• Proven ability to work on legacy code supporting applications on Java and ColdFusion
  
• Previous experience working as a Sr. developer, where light business analysis duties are required such as requirements gathering and documentation
  
• A positive team attitude, and the desire to work projects to completion even when little guidance is given
