Higher One’s Telecommunications Administrator will be the IT point person for Higher One’s call center environment. This will include managing existing vendors, technology and processes as well as identifying, analyzing and helping to implement improvements to the call center environment. This role is ideal for a fast learning; self motivated team player who can effectively communicate with vendors, internal customers and the technical resources. Initial responsibilities for the role will include

 

  • Manage existing relationships with telecommunications vendors.
  • Work with Higher One’s engineering staff to maintain the IT infrastructure for the call center environment.
  • Work with customer service management to identify and analyze technology and process improvements for Higher One’s call center environment.
  • Establish a Telecommunications infrastructure roadmap to support Higher One’s continued growth for the next 3-5 years.

Minimum Qualifications

  

  • 3+ years experience in the Telecommunications industry. Preferably at call center of 200+ seats.
  • 3+ years experience with IVR & ACD design and development
  • 3+ years experience managing telecommunication vendors
  • 3+ years experience with VOIP

  

General Qualifications

  

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Ability to communicate on both technical and non-technical levels, as well as translate between the two.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Has the ability to acquire new skills efficiently, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work closely with multiple teams.
  • Self-directed, but knows when to ask for help.
