Description

Directs team of employees for one or more accounts in warehouse. Has direct contact with Operations Supervisors and/or Operations Managers regarding performance of the team.
Position is flexible for the first 3 months of start up, and then will settle on a shift. Both 1^st and 2^nd shifts are needed. Specific hours are to be determined. Overtime will be frequent through the start up and seasonally to meet our customer’s needs.
Works with CSR/Wave Planner and Operations Supervisor to determine work flow, labor assignments, and expedited/exception services to meet customer needs.
Loads or unloads freight from trailers and containers both safely and efficiently, and frequently moves product to storage locations. Efficiently stacks and stores the merchandise in the appropriate, designated area
Pulls and prepares returns or transfers product for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded.
Ships, receives, loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products and materials using a fork lift, clamp truck, electric or manual pallet jack, or other power equipment operating the equipment in a safe and efficient manner following defined work methods and procedures
Assists supervisory personnel in overseeing activities in one or more accounts
Assists in training Operators
Maintains the equipment and work area in a neat, clean and 5S fashion, and reports service requests and assists in area clean up as needed
Participates in rework and repack of product as needed or requested by customer
Assists in performing physical inventories, cycle counts and proper stock rotation
Informs supervisor of any unsafe or hazardous working conditions
Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Two years college or technical school plus one to three years related experience or training in leading people, directing workflow, receiving/shipping with powered industrial vehicles, and inventory control; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Excellent ability to effectively communicate with vendors and customers through email
Excellent ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Forklift certification obtained through OHL
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
Demonstrated ability to lead other employees to safely deliver results in an RF environment
One to three years experience with Excel spreadsheets and data entry required
Synapse and SAP experience highly desired
