Position Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Vice President in our Institutional Operations Team in North America Position Services . The position is based in NY .

Scope:
The Institutional Infrastructure group is responsible for all aspects of trade processing and related risk management activities. The group provides outstanding service to our internal and external client base and is responsible for protecting the firm’s interests from an operational and settlement perspective. We are looking for a strong officer level candidate in a leadership/hands-on management capacity. The candidate should be extremely versed in Risk and Control, specific to the control environment affecting the asset servicing and operational element of the business. The candidate will also be involved in supporting and driving specific strategic initiatives and efforts in support of the location head. The role is both challenging and pivotal for maintaining and improving relationships with internal and external clients from an operational perspective. The candidate for this role will lead the team and will partner with business managers.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all day to day trade processing and related management responsibilities of the operations teams.

Implement and maintain detailed and standardized procedures and controls over daily processes.

Manage risk

Establish relationships that position him/her as the person clients and traders turn to first for issues, advice, and/or solutions

Understand and anticipate client and business unit needs across divisions/globally in order to provide excellent service

Partner with business unit on relationship building providing value added services

Participate and drive specific operationally related action plans including process efficiency and connectivity improvement opportunities

Participate in strategic projects as required for improving service and data integrity

Share own functional and/or technical expertise with others, instill a culture of excellence that exudes the firm’s visions and values of respect for individuals and cultures.

Work effectively within team and across functional, geographic and/or product lines.

Skills Required:

Bachelors Degree required

Experience in Asset Servicing and Corporate Actions is required.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and communication skills

Strong Control and process focus, hands on involvement with teams and issues

Proven ability to manage multiple support teams under pressure in a volatile /multi tasking environment

Desired expertise in Domestic and International Equities, Electronic Program Trading products

Strong process/risk management skills

Strong regulatory Expertise

Strong industry knowledge including DTC, Euroclear, P&S Processing
