Description The transportation of heavy equipment via Lowboy to our customers and branches in South and Central MS with one position to be out of Gulfport. Knowledge of and at least 2 years documented experience in the operation of heavy equipment, loading , unloading and securing of CAT heavy equipment on to a Lowboy. Interview process will include the demonstration of loading, securing and unloading equipment on to a Lowboy. Driver will be required to demonstrtate and train customers on the operation of the equipment on customers' sites. Driver will build upon excellent customer relationships and provide outstanding customer service. Good communication skills with customers, branch, service managers and foreman required. Safe operation of the Lowboy at all times, informing supervisor of any maintenance or safety issues with the Lowboy promptly. And keeping stellar physical appearance of the lowboy Attention to detail in the maintenance of your logs and company documents. Obeyance of all laws set forth by the DOT Our Drivers typicallt only spend 2-5 nights per year on the road
Requirements 1. A current Class A CDL registered in the state of MS 2. A safe and stellar driving record 3. At least 2 years of proven and recent experience as a Lowboy Driver transporting heavy equipment. We can not consider over-the-road driving in lieu of Lowboy driving. 4. Proven record of operating heavy equipment 5. Clear and concise communication skills 6. The ability to provide customers with outstanding service, relationshipp-building with customers and our employees. 7. Logistical skill 8. Organizational and attention to detail on required paperwork. 8. HS Degree + 8. Flexibility to work more than 40 hours per week when needed and some weekends The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods of time, perform repetitive bending tasks and climbing tasks.
