Class A CDL Driver-Worcester, MA

The Professional Class “A” CDL Driver position at NFI requires all our drivers to be professional and courteous representing both NFI and the client it is servicing. Drivers must exhibit excellent customer service and communication skills. Drivers are expected to meet all NFI qualification, DOT requirements and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Drivers must successfully pass Road Test and Physical Qualification and Examinations in accordance with DOT requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Drivers are expected to perform in a safe and responsible manner to ensure personal safety for themselves and those around them and to ensure the safety and security of the equipment and merchandise under their control
• Each driver must be fully capable of maneuvering a tandem axle tractor/53 foot trailer combination in all traffic and weather conditions
• Each driver must properly document all activities as required by law and company policies and procedures and must remain in compliance with those laws, policies and procedures

Job Related & Physical Requirements: 

• Driver must meet or exceed all qualifications and standards established by FMCSR and NFI 
• Stable employment No more than two employers in the last year. More than six employers in the last three years disqualifies the applicant
• No DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions (commercial or personal for 10 years) or any other motor vehicle violation(s) which in the opinion of the Safety Department warrants disqualification. (Personal Vehicle convictions over 10 years may be considered with Safety Department approval) 
• No more than two moving violations with one preventable highway accident or a combination of two preventable highway accidents and one moving violation within the last three years
• More than one speeding citation within the last 12 months automatically disqualifies the applicant 
• No Reckless driving conviction (commercial or personal vehicles)

Minimum Experience, Education, and Training Required: 

• Minimum age per DOT 23
• Class A CDL from state of domicile
• 1 year verifiable Tractor Trailer experience within the last two years
