Description

The Service Manager position will be responsible for the management of maintenance personnel within assigned branch or branches.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 7 (seven) years of industry related experience required.

  • Minimum of 2 (two) years of managerial experience required.

  • Minimum of 9 (nine) years work experience required.
  • ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
    - 5 (five) years of supervisory experience preferred.
    - 7 (seven) years of technical experience preferred
    - Proficient PC skills to include Microsoft Office
    Knowledge of P&L preferred
    - Candidate must possess
    - Knowledge of execution of performance management process, and basic understanding of business finance.
    - Ability to select, train and develop High caliber personnel
    - Must exhibit strong ability in communication, leadership and hands-on mechanics and customer service.
    - Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, Ability to manage multiple tasks and the Ability to act independently.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Specifically the Service Manager will be held accountable for the following at each Ryder shop:

  • Manage the Preventive Maintenance Process

  • Inventory management

  • Safety and EPA compliance

  • Customer/driver interaction and service

  • Facility maintenance including all shop tools and equipment

  • Review, analyze and track maintenance measures

  • Create action plans for continuous improvement

  • Ensure Shop Management System (SMS) is maintained

  • Ensure maintenance of all files required to meet and/or exceed government requirements.

  • Quality assurance of work performed/deliverables

  • Financial forecasting and cost control related to maintenance

  • Manage running costs and maintenance overheads

  • Ensuring and maintaining customer satisfaction

  • Ensure a safe and productive operation through proper implementation and administration of company policies and procedures.
