Sys Engr-Field Tech Spt Stf

Description:
This position is the Coast Guard Systems (CGS) Regional Liaison Representative. The person in this position is the regional/local, on-site Logistics representative of the MS2 CGS Program Office and is the primary MS2 POC for all MS2 and MS2 Sub-Contractor support activity conducted on-site for pre and post DD-250 assets. Responsibilities include all direct customer liaison/relations and all coordination between the USCG and MS2 entities, including all MS2 sub-contractors authorized to conduct work at the local site. The Regional Liaison Rep is charged with oversight of all MS2 and MS2 sub-contractor efforts supporting assigned USCG assets at the local level, and is responsible in collaboration with USCG for the coordination of USCG asset schedules to ensure the asset’s availability is coincident with arrival of technical assistance along with parts procurement and delivery for all MS2 C4I repair and maintenance actions.

The Regional Liaison Rep coordinates and provides field engineering technical and logistics services in support of the MS2 CGS C4I equipment installed aboard National Security Cutter(s), Legacy Cutters, and Shore Facilities at Training Center, Petaluma, CA and CAMSPAC, Port Reyes, CA, and Aviation Assets. Position involves providing regional & on-site customer support to USCG assets and field activities in the areas of MS2 provided C4I equipment and systems at the asset level. Responsibilities include possessing detailed knowledgeable of outfitting and initial load-out, maintenance (Computer Program Upgrades, IA patches, Help Desk Tickets in Remedy, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) authorized for installation, Cutter Corrective Maintenance Action (CMA) requests, CASREPs, etc.) and supply support for assigned units.

Responsibilities include ensuring open Help Desk Tickets for assigned assets contain current technical and logistics status, and that Help Desk Tickets are closed in a timely manner upon completion of repair/maintenance actions. In addition to normal activities related to coordination and response to planned and emergency repair requirements and expediting repair parts and logistic material, the following are duties of an administrative nature: drafting reports, preparing presentations, attending meetings, and supporting and providing current information to the MS2 Program & GS Management on a weekly basis.

Periodic travel to various sites in the United States to attend meetings or to support assigned units at or outside their home port/air station may be required. Position requires a highly motivated individual with both a mature and professional approach toward accomplishing independent assignments. The Regional Liaison Rep is the MS2 "face to the customer" and as such, must have the ability to effectively interface with all levels of the USCG chain of command (Seaman to Admiral) in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. The ability to be flexible and make good on-the-spot decisions is required. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Candidate will be subject to drug screening as per company policy.

This position is located in the Oakland/Alameda, CA area.
