Job Description 

Clinical Manager II - Women Services

This position is located in the Texas Medical Center

The total care team at Memorial Hermann Women's Center works with the goal of making every childbirth experience as positive and memorable as possible.  Our private, modern birthing suites feature superior-quality clinical equipment in addition to amenities for convenience and comfort.  The clinical team is trained in high-risk obstetrics and a maternal-fetal medicine specialist on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for fetal monitoring and ultrasound imaging.  We offer comprehensive, specialized gynecology services that range from diagnosis and prevention to treatment and management.  Our team combines state of the art equipment and techniques with highly skilled physicians, nurses and staff to deliver patient-focused care that is sensitive to and respectful of the unique issues women face.

This position will be responsible for managing and supervising department staff and for management of the nursing units and the night shift; providing leadership to the nursing unit, and participating in the marketing, planning, program development, and community outreach functions; ensuring positive physician/staff relations; and for acting as interim or relief department director as necessary. The shift for this position is from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

 


Job Requirements 

Clinical Manager II - Women Services

1.  Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; Bachelor's degree or educational plan to complete degree.
2. Completion of management/leadership training programs as designated by the institution within first year of employment.
3. Ongoing management/leadership training programs as designated by organization's leadership.
4. Current State of Texas license/permit to practice professional nursing.
5. Completion of Basic Life Support or other certification based on nursing unit requirements. 6. Three or more years experience in clinical area of practice.
7. Three or more years supervisory or management experience.
8. Professional Certification in clinical area or management.
