XLI CorporationCNC MACHINIST JOIN OUR WINNING TEAM
-The CNC Machinist works in the machining department and reports to the Group Leader. -The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and running vertical and/or horizontal machining centers. -The CNC Machinist receives job instructions including a CNC program, setup sheet, tool list, job routing, part drawings and in-process quality instructions, etc.
-The
CNC Machinist follows the instructions to set up the job. -He/She begins by locating the appropriate tool holders, tools and fixtures and loads them into the machine. -They load the CNC program into the machine control and enter tool length and diameter offsets, etc. -The
CNC Machinist runs the program, performs measurements and makes all adjustments necessary so that the product meets customer specifications. -The
CNC Machinist continues to run the job once the first piece is approved by the quality department, or instructs an operator as to how to run the job. -The
CNC machinist has his/her own tools.
Must be professional, experienced, and proficient with good work habits, strong workmanship and a positive attitude.
Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Minimum five years experience.
- NYS Department of Labor Journeyman Machinist or NIMS credentials(preferred).
- Experience with Matsuura, Toyoda, Brother, Kitamura and/or Robodrill vertical and horizontal machining centers; Fanuc machine controls.
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, quality plans.
- Ability to use measurement tools like micrometers, verniers, etc.
- City of Rochester resident (preferred).
Shifts Available: B shift - 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m..
