Department: HOI OPERATING ROOM
Provides assistance to physicians, anesthesiologist and staff in performing physiologic monitoring, auto transfusion services. Assists during intubations, assists in shed blood recovery through auto transfusion services. Coordination of care for patients requiring monitoring and provides anesthesia support services. Maintains supplies for the processes.
Projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct. Supports the mission of Perioperative Services Division. Participates in the continuous quality improvement process. Maintains a working knowledge of departmental and hospital standards, policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Supports Hoag Hospital's, Perioperative Services' and unit missions. Shift is from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm.Application Process:

Current national credential as a Certified Anesthesia Technologist through the ASATT or at least 3 years experience as an Anesthesia Tech. Critical care experience preferred. Experience in Operating Room or Cath Lab environment with invasive monitoring preferred. Current BLS required, ACLS preferred. Skills in Intraoperative Autotransfusion and Plasma Sequestrian preferred. Demonstrates effective communication, interpersonal skills, organizational ability, knowledge of proper body mechanics, safety measures and infection control, ability to follow instructions, knowledge of age of population served, and additional skills and knowledge of equipment may be required for hire into some patient care departments.
