Senior PHP Developer
I am working directly with the hiring managers at 2 successful Boston area companies.
Both companies are on the smaller side and they don't publish their jobs online. The work with a select few recruiters to help them find hard to find software engineering talent. One off the companies is in the Cambridge area and one is slightly west of the city in the Lexington area.
They are both looking for several solid years of PHP development, preferably on a system that serves heavy web traffic.

PHP5.x
MVC framework experience -- Cake, Zend, Mojavi, Symfony, etc. Not super picky on which one you have worked with, just so you have the concepts down.
MySQL
Web UI Skills -- Ajax, Javascript, CSS, XHTML
Nice to have:
Any experience you have working with API's consumed by other developers is a plus.
