Description

Our client is a leading global independent energy company, engaged in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas, as well as in refining and in marketing refined petroleum products, natural gas, and electricity.


POSITION SUMMARY:
   Maintenance, Reliability and Integrity and part of a new, small global organization that is being developed to help deliver the Company vision of Production Excellence, to be first quartile in safety, health and environmental performance; and in production operations reliability and efficiency

The PE support groups augment EHS&SR, and other organizations in helping Producing achieve the PE Objectives, which are:

·         Achieve a healthy and injury free workplace

·         Mitigate environmental and process safety risks

·         Operate reliably

·         Use resources effectively to maximize asset value

·         Develop operational competency and technical expertise

·         The position takes a lead role on one or more PE initiatives

·         This lead role is effectively the Project Manager for the initiative

·         The position reports to the Global PE Support Manager

·         The position also interfaces with the Regional PE Team Leaders, who will implement the initiatives into each of the business units

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

·         Assist Global PE Manager in gathering and analyzing global measures of production excellence and in developing improvement plans for each asset

·         Manage one or more operational "process improvement" initiatives in support of PE objectives

·         Starting with an improvement opportunity that has been framed by the Global Production Network steering team, oversee the initiative through: developing a strong business case, screening alternatives and refining the selected alternative into an executable work plan

·         As each initiative is matured through the screen and refine stages, ensure business unit leadership is supportive of scope, timing and deliverables

·         Once projects have been refined, provide follow-up support to the Regional PE teams and business units during the implementation and ongoing operation of the process improvement

·         Support includes: explanation and guides, blockage removal, adaptation for local implementation, expertise in tools and processes

·                                     Liaise with EPT for technical expertise, standards and key process documentation

·         Staffing of the Initiative teams are made up of dedicated PE staff, along with part time, temporary team members from the business units


SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

·                                 Strong written and oral communication skills

·                                 Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a diverse, multidiscipline team environment

·                                 Track record of successful accomplishments and executed projects.

EXPERIENCE:

·                                 Significant experience (likely to be equivalent to a minimum of 8 years), including production operations

·                                 Experience with operational process improvement projects

·                                 Experience working internationally and in multicultural settings

·         Be able to advise and implement industry recognize best practices in the areas of:

Predictive Maintenance

Preventative Maintenance

Reliability Centered Maintenance 

Non-Intrusion Inspection

Failure Mode Analysis

Root Cause of Failure Analysis

Integrated Integrity Management 


EDUCATION
:

 Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Planning and Scheduling, Project Management or equivalent
