MEDICAL BILLING / CODING SPECIALIST

Full or Part Time position

• Qualified candidate with at least 2yrs experience in medical billing or collection environment, daily posting of charges and payments, and processing of insurance correspondence
•  Working knowledge of medical coding (CPT & ICD9)
• Knowledge of admission and registration systems including Microsoft Office, healthcare billing practices, health plan benefits and insurance requirements required.
• Ideal candidates will have experience with all payor types, including Self-pay, Commercial, Workman's Compensation, Medicare, Medicaid, and TPL.
• Experience with explanation of benefits, fee schedule allowances, reductions and calculations required patient account management
• Candidates must have unquestionable work ethic, exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication skills, be a team player and have the ability and desire to work in a fast paced, challenging and productive environment.

Experience with Misys Tiger systems strongly preferred.

Benefits offered such as Health, Dental and Life 
Full-time salary range: $16k-$21k

Part-time hourly rate: $8.00-$10.00
