Job Description 

Yoh Scientific has a contract opening for a Biologist to join our customer in RTP, NC.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform manual, semi-automated and automated assay procedures in blood, plasma, and serum.
  • Maintain and manage clinical chemistry laboratory instruments used by the EE DPU.
  • With guidance from the supervisor he/she will organize, review, report and archive laboratory data. Quick turnaround of data to the program teams is essential to the proper performance of this job.
 


Job Requirements 

  • BA or BS degree is required with some experience in a research laboratory.
  • Preferred qualifications: Some experience with plate based and ELISA assays used in studies of metabolic disorders is an advantage.
  • Special consideration will be given to applicants familiar with the Luminex assay platform.
  • It is a plus if the applicant is trained in good laboratory practice and/or has experience with liquid handler automation.
  • Details: This position is a contract position in the Enteroendocrine Drug Performance Unit (EE DPU) of the Metabolic Pathways Center of Excellence in Drug Development at RTP.
  • The successful candidate will generate preclinical chemistry data for the EE DPU drug discovery programs.
