Systems Administrator

Job Description 

Yoh has a contract opening for a Systems Administrator to join our customer, a CMM Level 3 organization, in Falls Church, VA.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide first level customer support
  • Primary system administrator for local Windows segments on both Windows servers and clients
  • Windows XP desktop support basic hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Microsoft office support and level one engineering application support
  • Assist programs/pursuits as needed with configuration and integration
  • Interface with corporate networking as needed for data/voice infrastructure
 


Job Requirements 

  • Associates degree or equivalent with 5 years relevant experience, Bachelors degree highly desirable
  • Must have the ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Must have the ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Must be able to work successfully as part of a team
  • 2 years experience providing desktop support for Microsoft Windows XP clients 2000/2003 servers
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have good communication and problem solving skills.

Preferred additional skills:

  • MCP (XP support) MCSA or MCSE certification preferred
  • Experience with UNIX/LINUX preferred but not required
  • Basic knowledge of Cisco routers and switches preferred but not required
