Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Senior Research Scientist, Computational Biology /Molecular Informatics to join our customer’s Molecular Informatics Department in Boston, MA.

The Molecular Informatics Department at our client is a multidisciplinary group of computational biologists, software engineers and experimental biologists with world class expertise in genomic data integration, genomic technology development, computational genomics, microarray design and data analysis, and pathway and network analysis. 

We are seeking a talented, motivated scientific leader to build a computational and experimental research program to further the objectives and reputation of our client in the area of discovery of novel genomic biology to drive drug discovery and development.  

We are particularly interested in candidates with interest and expertise in one of the following areas:

• applications of next-generation sequencing, epigenetics/epigenomics, development of predictive pathway/network models, pharmacogenetics/genomics, and biomarker development to support responder/non-responder prediction in clinical trials.

The senior research scientist will be expected to:

• Build and maintain a national reputation of their scientific accomplishment through presentations at scientific meetings
• Timely publication of research and development findings
• Foster appropriate external contacts as well as building collaborative relationships with basic and clinical therapeutic area scientists across the company.
• Lead a research team including an experimental lab technician and one or more postdoctoral fellows, and leverage internal capabilities including high performance computing, whole transcriptome microarray profiling, massively parallel sequencing, miRNA profiling and established molecular biology lab facilities.
