We are seeking a Sr Fixed Asset Accountant for one of our
This candidate should have 5 years experience of fixed asset
experience utilizing a Tier 1 ERP system (ie; Oracle). This individual will be
responsible for performing general functions related to fixed asset accounting.
You will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling various fixed asset and
demo/seed related accounts. Additional responsibilities would include
preparation and posting various fixed asset journals, preparation of monthly
reporting data and day-to-day fixed asset functions.
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
Able to apply fundamental accounting theories and concepts to
support the business operations and day to day fixed accounting needs.
Responsible for performing all close, analysis, reporting and
record-keeping duties for fixed assets, demo/seed inventory and project related
Preparation of all fixed asset and demo/seed inventory related
journal entries (depreciation, additions, retirement and transfers) in order to
properly close the Oracle FA module on a timely basis.
Responsible for all handling day-to-day activities and working
with internal customers in relation to asset additions, retirements, and
transfers based on procedures and process steps outlined per FA process
Maintain and reconcile all fixed asset and demo/seed inventory
accounts. Making sure that all asset related accounts are reconciled for
accuracy and reasonableness on a monthly basis.
Ensure accuracy and reliability of general ledger/trial balance
for the fixed asset and demo/see inventory grouping of accounts.
Work with internal customers to develop business partnerships so
that proper recordkeeping of assets are maintained.
Develop/establish new policies and procedures to enhance fixed
asset control efforts including physical counting process and procedures.
Lead continuous process improvement projects in the fixed asset
and demo/seed inventory areas in order to streamline processes and improve
Participate in the Fixed Asset physical count process in the
Sunnyvale location, ensuring that physical assets are properly reconciled
against fixed asset sub-ledger. Work with internal customers to identify any
discrepancies or missing assets for status.
Ensure compliance with Company Policies and Procedures.
Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits.
Participate on the annual Company Tax package associated to
providing key annual fixed asset information
Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and compliance.
Perform special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required.
Perform other accounting duties as assigned by management.
