Qualifications This is a cross functional position that requires a good understanding of mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineering as well as formal project management techniques. Analyzes manual production processes and develops system requirements. Develops and presents overall concepts for manufacturing line, identifying all key systems and sub-systems. Effectively coordinates automation projects across engineering, production and business analyst functions. Directly works as an engineering resource in accordance with the needs of the individual project, employing mechanical/manufacturing or electrical engineering skills. Generates all necessary documentation in the support of the project goals Job Requirements BS in an Engineering discipline highly preferred but equivalent experience and some formal qualifications may be considered for an exceptional candidate. Experience in developing turnkey automated manufacturing systems 2 Years with MS, 4 Years with BS, 6 Years with AS, 10 Years with some formal qualifications. Project management experience in an engineering/production environment. Manufacturing Engineering Skills to develop efficient manufacturing processes. Strong Mechanical Design Skills Experience with Industrial robotics Experience with multi axis controls is desirable. Basic knowledge of C/C++ is desirable. Basic knowledge of PLC programming. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly Experience coordinating and integrating OEM equipment into packaging/material handling systems. Knowledge of NEC electric code is a plus. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly. Must have experience successfully interacting and working with customers at multiple levels of responsibility in a manufacturing or production environment.
