Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at Penn State invites applications for a full-time (48-week), non-tenure track Instructor/Academic Adviser position. The successful candidate must hold a masters degree (preferably in CSD) or in a discipline related to CSD with a minimum of one-year teaching experience or equivalent knowledge and experience. Prior university-level student advising experience is desirable.
Primary responsibilities will be to advise students who are enrolled in the major or exploring the major (e.g., meeting with Division of Undergraduate Studies students seeking the major, students transferring to CSD as a major) in CSD in the College of Health and
Human Development at University Park. Overall commitments will be approximately 75% advising and 25% teaching. Expected teaching load will be one 3-credit course per academic semester.
This is a full-time appointment with excellent benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience. It is a Fixed-Term 1 position funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of renewal.
