This position manages the accounting department. Ensures the timely & accurate preparation of monthly financial & management information reports. Ensure compliance with established accounting & administrative controls, processes & procedures. Delivers high quality analytical support to the President, Director of Finance, operating managers & other senior level staff.Reports to the Director of Finance.
Assist with all aspects of the monthly and annual close process including (but not limited to) the preparation of and posting of journal entries and account reconciliations. Assist with all aspects of financial oversight of organization/project setup and maintenance in DeltekCostpoint. Assist with year-end audit including with preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation; addressing on-going audit inquires in a timely and efficient manner. Ensures that all internal and external financial reporting deadlines are met Ensures that the assets, liabilities, revenues & expenses have been fairly reported & in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles and NOSI accounting policies, where applicable. Prepares and reviews journal entries and accounting reconciliations. Ensure invoices are issued to the clients in a timely manner & are consistent the specific term of the contracts in order. Assists the Director of Finance with credit analysis for new potential customers and vendors in order to maximize working capital. Ensures timely payment of accounts payables within appropriate terms in order to maximize working capital Ensures all policies & procedures of NOSI are followed, decisions are approved & transactions are executed by a competent level of management, & that assets are properly accounted for, safe guarded and accessed only in accordance with proper management Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and NOSI corporate policies, & notify senior management immediately of any violations that become known. Reviews period reports to identify emerging problems for early remedial action, & communicate findings to the Director of Finance in a timely manner. Assists the Director of Finance in developing action plans for problem units & practices out of compliance with policy. Directs & prepares a monthly variance analysis report for all Assists the Director of Finance with on-going follow-up with operations personnel on policy and procedure changes, e.g. Receivables collection policy. Notifies the Director of Finance of any material deviations from established control policies. Recommends changes as necessary. Initiates or performs various financial analysis as directed by the Director of Finance Gathers & organizes the requisite numerical & qualitative data through site visits, financial reporting systems & independent analysis. Make actionable, data-driven recommendations for the Director of Finance and operating managers. Serves as a responsive discussion partner for the Director of Finance & operating managers in decision-making having significant financial risk or risk impact on the business. Assists the Director of Finance & operating managers to implement accounting & finance changes to solve problems or achieve compliance with control policies Directs the process, & as appropriate, assists the Director of Finance & operating managers in preparing & maintaining unit budgets, & profit plans. Assists the Director of Finance in the preparation & revision of forecasts. Oversee and directs all financial statement and bank audits. Other related duties may also be assigned.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and at least 7 years of directly related general ledger and accounting management experience at an operating company. Preference will be given to candidates with Costpoint experience. Please apply online at: www.nana.com
